Faith, Mercy, and Grace

Our mind is continually being assessed by God. What are we thinking about? More specifically, what are we thinking about with God? What do we want to do? Where are our loyalities? Are we looking to build things up, or to tear them down?

We are to love God with all of our mind as stated in Mark 12:30 and restated in Matthew 22:37 and Luke 10:27.

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. KJV

1 Corinthians 2:16 KJV - "For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ."

Philippians 2:5 KJV - "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:"

We are to serve God in our minds, and not sin.

Romans 7:23 KJV - "But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members."

Romans 7:25 KJV - "I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin."

Romans 8:5 KJV - "For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit."

Romans 8:6 KJV - "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."

Romans 12:2 KJV - "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Ephesians 4:23 (KJV) - "And be renewed in the spirit of your mind"

Titus 1:15 KJV - "Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled."

We are to be unified in one mine in our service to God.

Romans 15:6 KJV - "That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."

1 Corinthians 1:10 KJV - "Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment."

2 Corinthians 13:11 KJV - "Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you."

Philippians 1:27 KJV - "Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel"

Philippians 2:2 KJV - "Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind."

1 Peter 3:8 KJV - "Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:"

We are to be humble in our minds.

Acts 20:19 KJV - "Serving the LORD with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:

Romans 12:16 KJV - "Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits."

Philippians 2:3 KJV - "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves."

We are to have faith and not doubt in our minds.

Luke 12:29 KJV - And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind."

James 1:8 KJV - "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways."

When all is said and done, we know that God who knows the mind of the Spirit is examining our hearts.

Romans 8:27 KJV - "And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Romans 8:27 NIV - "And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will."

We are individuals serving God through the faith that we reflect in our minds.

Romans 14:5 KJV - "One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind."

And, yet, we are to remain open to the guidance of God.

Philippians 3:15 KJV - "Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you."

2 Timothy 1:7 KJV - "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

Hebrews 8:10 KJV - "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:"

Hebrews 10:16 KJV - "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;"

And in closing:

Philippians 4:7 KJV - "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
